Thank you. As someone who works in a large tech focused organization I see the tension between the work that needs to get done and job titles every day
The bottleneck tends to be around status and money though. With HR as gatekeeper of both. If I take on more responsibility with project X does that mean I get to put a more important title in my email signature, and will I get a pay rise? When the project ends could my pay go down?
