The age of Scrum is over

Gothmog, Lord of the Rings

“The age of men is over.”

“The Time of the Orc has come.”

I’m calling it

Within 5 years Scrum will be largely irrelevant as an influence in modern software companies

Bitter, much?

Scrum == Agile?

Rituals, Ceremonies, Events — oh my!

a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order.

Life in between the guides

“The Developers can select whatever structure and techniques they want, as long as their Daily Scrum focuses on progress toward the Sprint Goal and produces an actionable plan for the next day of work”

How then should we proceed?

It’s easier to explain price once than to apologize for quality forever.

What do we call it?

32. don’t call it anything. If it has a name, people, including you, will waste time arguing what it is and isn’t.
33. call it something. Otherwise nobody can ever talk about it

Thank you Scrum
